Hello everyone,
The rule in my workflow is that when a ticket is declined, the system will automatically revert it to the “Bổ sung thông tin” status as picture show below. At that point, the user—the ticket creator—will go to the portal to edit the form. After clicking submit when finish editing, they have to manually click the “Approve” button to transition the status to one with approval.
I want the system to automatically transition the status to approval when the user submits the form, without requiring them to click the approval button manually.
Is there a way to achieve this?
Hello @Y Dang_Candylio ,
Considering, your Form is open for edits,
You can use Automation for Jira Rule
1. where trigger is When Form is Submitted
2. You can add conditions, like
3. Action: Transition issue
@Akhand Pratap Singh Thank you for providing this solution. However, our team also uses the ScriptRunner add-on as an alternative to automation in cases where we reach the limit. Do you know how to solve this issue using ScriptRunner?

But on premium the limit is reasonably high.
Doing this via scriptrunner causes a lock in an is not workable.
As only automation can use "Form submitted" action.
P.S. The monthly automation limit is set as follows:
"1,000 multiplied by the number of users"
So if you have 50 user license in JSM you can do 50000 automations in a month.

If you're interested in Marketplace add-ons, Actions for Jira Service Management (developed by the company I work for) allows you to automate issue transitions based on specific triggers, such as form submissions.
Once the form is submitted, the workflow can automatically transition the ticket from “Bổ sung thông tin” to the approval status, without requiring the user to manually click 'Approve'. Here's a link to the specific feature of the app (Workflow actions ) if you'd like to take a look 🚀
