Hi there,
I'm trying to make a particular automation work and I'm pretty close, but I just can't get the last part down. We have HR create tickets when an employee is leaving the company and we would like an automation to look up the provided employee name and compare it to other tickets that mention that name. If there's a match, those tickets would be automatically linked to the employee leave ticket. This is what I have so far:
@Alex Zimmermann , you can use smart values or if the field is user picker, you can get the (customfieldUserPicker.accountId/displayname) to comparate values
In this case i will prefer to use a user picker, because this turn more easier to the requester (and to the agent LOL)
I'm afraid I'm still a bit lost here, this is my first automation. This is what I've managed now, I believe we've got the user picker enabled when people select the employee names (at least that's what I see), but I'm unsure how to set up the comparison. Also unsure of the JQL for looking up any issues that mention them, I don't use it that often.

Yes, I would like to search all the tickets to see if that user was mentioned :)

Sorry for my absence, I ended up having a lot of demand in the company these last few weeks
But in the Jira Automation there is some restrictions in lookup issues.
Automation Actions - Lookupissue.
Unfortunately, as it would be a custom field, the lookup would not be able to access it using smart values.
