Best way to view a reporter's tickets quickly?

If I search a reporter's name in the quick search, I don't see the tickets they submitted. I only see tickets where the description contains the search terms. This seems really not helpful. Is there a way to fix that, or a better way to go about viewing tickets a reporter has put in?

@AJohnston, it looks like this has been discussed on this question. It looks like you may need to use the format r:accountId to perform the search.

Otherwise you can use the basic/advanced search to find tickets belonging to  a specific reporter.

So what I've gotten out of this is that the quick search function is not useful for looking up a tickets by reporter name. That's cool...

Thank you for the quick response!

Hi @AJohnston, how are you? 👋🏻

If you're open to using a Marketplace app, I would like to share another solution that may be useful in your need/scenario 👉🏻 MindPro Insights - Dynamic Reports for Jira

This is a FREE cloud app built for Jira that allows you to build highly interactive reports and dashboards in seconds using pre-loaded charts and gadgets that bring up instant data from all your Jira projects ( from Software, Service Management, to Work Management) 📊

As you can see in the image above, you can easily select and filter any Reporter by name and automatically see several other meaningful data about the selected reporter in the chart gadgets and issue list in the same context and screen.

Here you can see a quick tour, and if have any questions, you can get in touch with us here: contact@mindproapps.com

Cheers,

Eduardo from the MindPro team.

I know it can be done with an extension/app. I was looking for a native way. Thank you, though.
