Hi. I am using the service management system. Can I add articles without having subscription to Confluence?
Hi @Ásta Hrönn _RdN_ no, you need to have a Confluence license in order to use it as knowledge base or adding the articles.
Hope you are doing well.
Confluence and Jira Service Management are two separate products from Atlassian.
To use Confluence and write articles and then use them as Knowledge Base for Jira Service Management you will need a Confluence license.
Hope this helps.

Hi @Cristian0791 Does this mean that I cannot add text directly into service portals ex: blogs, instructions etc. Is confluence the only way to do that?

Hi @Ásta Hrönn _RdN_ ,
You can create fields for article. Field type: Free text (Multiline) in order to have some articles. But the best way to do it is in Confluence.
"Confluence is a collaboration tool designed for creating, organizing, and sharing documentation and content among teams, while Jira is a project management tool focused on tracking and managing tasks, issues, and workflows."
Hope this helps.
