Hi,
Can we Control the access on Request Type (Incident , Access, Change)etc. either group/user level.
which means In my project there are 3 Issue Types which are Incident, Access, Change Request but i want to restrict it as user/group level.
if the user is from Service Desk (Group) then the person can only Access the Incident and Change Request.
If the user is from SPINS Team(Group) then he has only Incident
If the user is from Supreme Team(Group) then he/she has only Change Request
(Or)
If possible i want to control only for respective users for respective services (Incident/Change request/Access Request...etc.)
Is this possible in Jira Service Management if Yes please suggest me the solution for the same.
Thanks,
Hi @Sreenadh
You can only add validators to your respective issue fields' workflows and allow only the corresponding groups to be able to create this issue type. But to do this you will need a 3rd part app like JMWE. In case you do have a similar app then:
Thanks for the response, Here my requirement is i want to restrict the Issue types for specific users/ groups
which means for 1 user/ 1 group can able to access only Incident Issue type
1 user/ 1 group can able to access only Access Management
1 user/ 1 group can able to access only Problem managemment
Can achieve the same by using this Addon.
Thanks,

First of all: You can't really restrict specific issue types to specific users. There is an open suggestion here which you can vote and watch https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-44557
The solution I provided will simply yield an ERROR when a user who doesn't belong to a certain group/role (or other criteria you will decide) tries to create a prohibited issue.
