Can you create custom fields for Services in Service Project

Andy Gritton

When you create a Service in a Service Management project you get a standard set of fields (Name, Tier, Owner, Approvers, Responders, Stakeholders, Repo and Description)

Is it possible to create additional fields so we can hold additional contextual information in a structured way and potentially query against it?

Doesn't seem to be an option as far as I can make out

Hi @Andy Gritton,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

Currently that is not possible, the services are controlled on the backend in Assets and that object schema is currently locked so you cannot add additional attributes to it.

This feels like a good opportunity to feed this back to Atlassian via the feedback form within your Jira instance OR via support.atlassian.com (if you have a premium instance).

The ability for users to add custom attributes to objects within the Services object schema.
