Hi there,

More of a POC here so spitballing this one.

On a portal form I can lookup an item from assets.  That item can have an associated price to it.  Looking at a little purchasing form.

Is there a way that if I lookup an object from assets and have a qty field, there is a way to display on the portal form as the request is being created a total for a 'line item' as such.

So lookup Item 1, price in assets is $20.  Customer enter a qty of 3 and on the form the total of $60 is display which will roll through to the request when submitted for approval.

There is no automation firing when the customer is putting in the form so not sure if this is actually possible but thought I would ask.

Thanks.

Hi, @Ste404

I'm afraid on issue creation step it's impossible. After, when issue is created, it's worth to try some Automations,  to make arithmetic operations.

Hi,

Yes I have all that in place.  When the form is submitted automations, goes and gets the price from assets and builds subtotals and then a final total for all items requested and attaches a form for approval to the request.

I was checking to see if there was a way to dynamically display the calculating price as someone is creating the request.  I was certain it wasn't but you never know what tricks people have up their sleeves here :)
