Change status order in the drop-down

Hi guys,

I am using Next-gen project in Jira SD (cloud version). I am unable to figure out how to change the order of status. Below are few statuses I am using,

1. To be allocated

2.  Pending client's appointment

3. Appointment confirmed.

Currently, in the Jira ticket, I see is it like this,

1. To be allocated

2. Appointment confirmed.

3. Pending client's appointment

While there is a way to do this with Classic I do not believe it is possible with NG projects.

Hi @Jack Brickey , I am now using Classic, could you please let me know how I can change the order in Classic?

Dean,

I’m mobile at the moment so am sharing a thread that I believe answers this. It discusses the opsbar property. While I have not played with this in a couple years this what I would try. In cloud there has been so many changes the behavior may now be different.

Please post your results back here for me and others.

They status in dropdown are sorted by

  1. Jira status group (gray:todo, blue:in progress, green:done)
  2. Alphanumerically within the jira status.

So, if you want the Review before QA, you can add some numbers at the front.

It's not possible to move "in progress" before "to do".
