Connect Jira Service Desk to Confluence Knowledge Base (Server)

Mohit Garg February 13, 2020

When I try to connect  a knowledge base in JIRA project settings, I am prompted to start a free trial for Confluence Knowledge Base.

However, I want to connect with my existing Confluence Knowledge Base for Server. Is this something that can be done?

Hi,

you'll have to create an application link before you can select a specific product.

Using AppLinks to link to other applications

Thanks - I added the application link to my Confluence Server successfully.

However, I am still prompted to start a free trial of Confluence Knowledge Base.

I think it is trying to setup a Confluence trial on cloud. Or do I have to buy a separate license for Knowledge Base for my Server?

Mohit,

I missed the server part.

Unfortunately its not possible to link an on-premise Confluence KB for your JSD Cloud.

You can only link a space to a service desk project if Confluence and JSD have the same Atlassian Cloud domain name.
