Hello team,
I'm a newbee in the creation of tickets in Jira, so please be kind lol
When I tried to create a new ticket, it appeared that an error appeared saying that my account was unknown. The issue is only present in the field "Reporter". Instead of displaying my account name, a string composed with 24 alphanumeric characters is present.
What is surprising is that the issue is not present in the field "Assignee".
The problem is that I wasn't able to create ticket as the Reporter field is mandatory.
Does anyone encounter the case?
Thanks in advance for sharing your experience.
Kind regards,
Sabrina B.
@Sabrina Blangeot can you share the screen shot of the issue

From were you are trying to create issue? through "Raise a Request" or Create tab which is on the top?

I used the Create button located on the top banner.
In the meanwhile, my colleague tried to update my account. So, by chance, I've been able to create my first ticket lol. However, the ID displayed on the field Reporter remains displayed, like if the technical parameter was used instead of the rebranding name.
So, I'm not blocked anymore but it seems that a gap remains ;-)

in fact, a non-blocking issue remains as my account name is not automatically reported in the Reporter field.
The original screenshot I provided is still up-to-date

@Fahad Siddiqui
I'm the only one in my organization. That's why I decided to contact the Jira community ;-)
Internally, we don't see any relevant explanation, excepting a bug lol

As far as I know, the ID should only be shown when exporting a list of issues and their name is shown. This is for General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Have you checked the user administration list to see if their username was set to the ID for some reason?
Follow the below steps to check.
The other way would be to do the following
If you do not see the user management option, that would be due to a permission problem. You must be a Jira Administrator to get to this section.
