I want to make a full backup of my Jira Service Management projects so I can use them in my Sandbox.
When I use the sandbox functionality, not everything is copied to the sandbox, like the assets, automation etc.
Is it possible to make a backup with the backupmanager and import the zipfile in the sandbox to get that full backup? The validation by importing is working, but now I'm a bit anxious to import it into the sandbox. For example, does it influence the production environment where I made the backup from.
I hope you can help me with this question.
You can copy data from your production environment to its sandbox using the Copy Production Data feature in admin.atlassian.com. However, not all data types are able to be copied from production into sandboxes. Data that can be copied into a sandbox includes Jira product data, board and sprint data, comments, Jira issues and field content, project configuration data, users and groups, and media files. Data that cannot be copied into a sandbox includes Confluence data, automation rules, Jira Service Management features powered by Opsgenie, and Insight for Jira Service Management. It is not possible to make a full backup of your Jira Service Management projects with the backupmanager and import the zipfile in the sandbox.
Thank you for your answer. It is a pity that this is not possible while this is a desirable function, especially when implementing in larger organizations. I will look for alternative ways to test items. Unless, of course, someone has a good alternative for me.
