Hello,
We want to get customer data on portal.
For example,
If user added his customer number, he should get his account numbers automatically.
Kindly advise how to achieve same
Thanks,
Swarna
Hi @Pourna Radha-Burhoo ,
As I understand from your post, you want to attach some ID to the customer which he provides in the request form. Is it correct?
Out of the box, collecting any data about customers is impossible. If you're open to any add-ons, I can recommend an app developed by my team called Customer and Organization Management for Jira Service Management. Thanks to this solution, you can collect data about customers and organizations. They can be provided by agents in the global view in Jira but also by customers on their profile on the portal. In your case, the Copy values post-function will be helpful. You have to define a custom field to collect ID, add it to the request form, and on the workflow add our post function to copy data from this custom field to the app field. Our documentation can come in handy: link. Of course, you can also add an ID field to our app and make it editable by customers on their profile on the portal.
If it's not what you're looking for, please add some details to your use case for better understanding.
Best regards,
Kate

@Kate Pawlak _Appsvio_ if the customer is registered in Insight, and the agent have entered their account ids, then it is possible to get that piece of information out of the box. Pourna is already on the premium plan.

Why you want to get the data from the portal, when Atlassian has provided API to get the data from "within" Jira? And what do you mean by getting his "account number". If you are an agent you:

Hello @Alex Koxaras _Relational_ ,
The data should autopopulate when customer adds his customer number.
The action is done by the customer not the agent.
Thanks,
Swarna

@Pourna Radha-Burhoo your request is not clear to me. Tell me if the following is correct and DO amend anything that is not valid from the following sentence (especially the parenthesis I've got):
You mean that e.g. you have a field where the customer enters his number. Then the customer (or the agent??) should see on another field his account number, based on the first number he entered?

But is it the customer or the agent the one you should see the account number?
