Give organizations the ability to export their detailed data

Alexandre Phiev September 30, 2019

Hi,

Our company uses Service Desk with multiple organizations and one feedback we got is that those don't have a lot of control over their own tickets. The need is for them to be able to use SD with us, but have the ability to export this data to be stored internally.

  • I would like to ask how some customers in an organization could export the detailed data of all their tickets. This only seems possible on our side of Service Desk. Do you have a solution for this?
  • One idea was to give them access to our side of Service Desk but with only access to the organization cards. This doesn't seem possible unless we make separate SD projects per organization, right?

Thank you,

Alexandre

there isn't a way to export requests from the portal. See and vote for this if interested - JSDCLOUD-4212

you might check the Marketplace to see if there is some solution there.

if you give your customer access to JSD (browse) they pretty much can see all aspects of the issues. Not a good idea IMO.

You could consider setting up a weekly (?) filter subscription and when received, export, clean up and send to the customer if desired.

So you mean a filter that we would check every week, then export ourselves? Not sure what you mean by "when received".

That could be a solution indeed, but doesn't give a lot of flexibility to the customer.
