How can I automatically close a Service desk issue the moment that it is created?

I have set up the automation as follows ;

When this happens ...

        Issue created

If these match ....

    Issue matches ...

        summary ~ "Errors in interface e-LLIS_tracking_2"

Then do this ...

    Edit issue

        Field --> "linked issues"

        Value --> ISD-19

    Edit request type

        EDI issues

Transition issue

    issue transition --> Close

Everything is executed except that the Service Desk issue status is set to Close.

How can I close the status of this Service Deskt issue automatically with the trigger Issue Created?

Hi Peter,

Can you please check the automation logs?
On the automation page, click on the ... on the right side of the automation name and you will see the option "View log".
This log will show why it failed and then we can check how to fix it.
On Jira there is status "Closed" and "Close", so please check in the workflow if there is a status "Close" or if it's "Closed".

Regards,
Angélica

Hello Angélica,

Thank you for your reply.

I think I solved the issue.

I have set the automation up like screenshot in attachment and now it seems to work.
