How do I get the 'new issue view' already?

The 'new issue view' started its rollout over three months ago. Is there a way I can force my instance to be updated to the new version?

Hi @Dan McClintock ,

By default new issue view will be available in cloud instances and it is user specific to disable or enable this. If do not see new issue view you can follow below steps to enable new issue view in jira. Also there in no global configuration to control this.

1. Click on Settings.

Thanks for the reply, but I already have that option turned on yet have the old layout.

Hi @Dan McClintock ,

After playing around with instances and going through Atlassian documents,  i got few findings.

Currently new issue view is able for software projects and it is not yet available for service desk projects.

If your project is next gen project type then  you will be able to see new issue view for the issues.

Also if you have an agile board on top of the JSD project, then you can see the new issue preview, but if you search issue you will not be able to see the new issue view.

Thanks for the info.

Your last piece of info is my whole point though... this has been rolling out to service desks since as least July, if not earlier, and it has been more than a "few months" which is why I was asking if there is a way to force enable it.

Hi @Dan McClintock - we're very close to rolling out the new issue view to more Jira Service Desk customers (i.e. in the coming weeks)

If you want to have it switched on for your instance, you can raise a ticket with our support team to have them do this for you.
