How do you print or export a dashboard?

Niel October 8, 2019

I've spent quite a huge chunk of time trying to look for a solution.

I've finally created a couple of nice dashboards created for reporting on tickets. Nice and informational. Only problem is, I can't export to PDF or Print at all without going through hoops of fire doing manual editing.

I tried searching for Add-ons as well but the only one that I could find does not work with Cloud. Any ideas? I tried looking to move them to Confluence but I can't find anything that makes the format look remotely close to how I made the dashboards look like.

Better PDF Exporter for Jira Cloud can export your dashboard to customizable PDF files!

See this page for a video and feature details:

Hi Niel,

Funny story.  At my first Atlassian Summit in 2010 I sidled up to the Support Bar to ask the very same question.  The person who answered my question was none other than Scott Farquhar much to my surprise!

However, the answer then and the answer now is still nope.  What you want to do is look at some of the reporting add-ons like EazyBi which will provide reporting and export options.

Cheers,

Susan

Thanks Susan!

I was hoping there was another way since the reporting is already set up but I guess I'll have to look into making the same reports under EazyBi. I had a look at the add-on but unfortunately it's not easy and is time consuming to set up.

Ah well.

Thanks again!

Hi Niel,

I feel you on this, it can take time to get used to the eazyBI interface and custom reports can be a challenge in the beginning as this multi-functional but powerfull tool has a steep learning curve,

But you can start by exploring predefined calculations and reports before you go towards custom calculations. It is not that easy to import data and start exploring the tool.

Please visit our demo account: https://eazybi.com/accounts/1000/dashboards/14871-chart-types

It has a bunch of user-rated reports which you can quite easily import (by exporting their definition) on your account with a couple of clicks and start from there.

Btw we have our own community.eazybi.com board where you can ask and learn a lot of new and cool things about eazyBI.

And our support team is highly appreciated.

Finally, you can use eazyBI to print or export charts.

Martins I just had a look on the eazyBI pages ... and I am impressed. I imagine it's pretty easy as an individual to plug in add-ons (excuse the term) into "MySprint" - but how easy it it to deploy say standard templates into JIRA for teams and organizations?

Hi Andrew,

I guess there is not one definition of "easy".

You can create one account for templates and then use export/import feature in eazyBI to deploy standard reports in new accounts with just few clicks.

It's stupid.

We could build a PDF Export button in like 2 hours, and how much we spend on this software, they want you to go pay for licenses of their third party vendors in order to get a simple PDF...

I am getting bored with this platform at this point.
