There is similar/duplicates assets in my object schema for ex: 1000 assets. Around 200 duplicates hosts are in my object schema so how to find actual duplicates object schema.
Hi @Risikanta Pradhan ,
This is some documentation on how you could find duplicate objects - https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/find-duplicate-assets-using-aql-1216971340.html
Unfortunately, it requires manual searching. There is no AQL function that would allow you to find duplicates automatically.
The best alternative I can think of is doing an export to a csv file, import it in Excel and have Excel find the duplicates.
To avoid duplicates in the future, make sure you have the 'Unique' checkbox ticked on the relevant attribute.
Best regards,
Kris
Hi @Kris Dewachter ,
Thanks for the reply.
So, if I checked the checkbox in host then this asset will update or not whenever the discovery import is running and some assets will come in the object schema.

Hi @Risikanta Pradhan ,
Yes, when an attribute is marked as 'unique', the import will fail on this item.
You will probably have to cleanup your duplicate objects first, before you are able to set this 'unique' indicator.

Hi @Risikanta Pradhan ,
This are the steps you need to take:
1. Identify the duplicates via an export (see my first reply)
2. Remove the duplicates
3. Set the attribute to 'unique' so no more duplicates can be created

Kris

Have you found a solution to updating the assets? I am looking for the same solution.
Thanks,
Katarina

Hi @Katarina Puchrikova , you need to create another object schema from starting or first you can delete all duplicates, and the name attribute of the host should be unique. Only this way you can prevent duplicate assets.
