How to quickly edit text/memo in Dashboard?

Hi all,

I have a JSM dashboard with a Rich Text gadget where I keep my random notes.

To edit my notes, I have to:

1. Click Edit this dashboard

2. Configure the gadget, which opens a new tab

3. Edit my notes

4. Save the text in the gadget

5. Click Done to save the dashboard

As you can see, this is quite a long process just to edit my notes. Additionally, opening the gadget in a new tab prevents me from seeing the rest of the dashboard while I edit.

I’m wondering if there’s a better way to edit and maintain my notes directly on the dashboard.

It can be done with Forge and custom gadget.

I've made POC which include private memo, but now I think it needs public threads/comments.

I'll post an update later this week ;)

Unfortunate not, this is how a dashboard works in Jira.

Gadgets can be edit only if the dashboard is in edit mode, otherwise user cold be allowed to change gadget information if this was not the case,
