Hello!
I have added 3 tabs in my sub-task issue type and I need to be able to show certain tabs depending on some conditions.
I have an automation in place that creates different sub-tasks with different names during some transitions and I need the sub-task to show a specific tab depending the on the name.
Let's say: Sub-task A will show tab no1; Sub-task B will show tab no2, etc.
Is it possible to accomplish this without creating a different sub-task issue type?
PD. Client does not have Scritprunner or any other app, so ideally I would like to achieve this out of the box.
Thank you in advance.
Regards
Hi @Marta Perez
Normally it is not feasible but as a workaround, you do this:
You need to create three customfields and add one customfield on each tab apart from that you have to remove all other fields from the tabs. In the automation rule, you can set the field value based on the sub-task. For example- Sub-task1 then sets the field1 value to ABC, and Sub-task2 then field2 value DEF...using this it will show only that particular tab.
Hey Manoj,
thank you for your quick answer! Even if I set up the automation and set specific fields during the subtask creation, the tab will be still visibile in the issue layout. I guess i would still need to create different issue types...?

I think empty fields are not hidden thats why they are showing in the tab and tab is not hiding due to this.
If you have configured request type then under the request type click on issue view and move those fields under hide when field empty.
Else you have to create the separate isaue types.

Thank you Manoj. The issue type I need to configure is the subtask and it does not have a request type connected to it. In the end I created 2 more subtask issue types and configured the fields there.
Thank you for your feedback :)
