Hi experts,
I'm coming across a frustrated problem of showing the Issue Labels on the Issue View & Kanban board Issue card. Here are what I have tried but still didn't work:
For Issue view: Go to Project Setting -> Screen -> add "Labels" to the current screens of my issue types - I still can't see the labels in the issue view and I don't know which step I did wrong.
For Kanban Board: Go to Configuration -> Add Labels to card layout - Similarly I can't see the labels on the issue cards on the Kanban Board.
Does anyone know how should I handle this problem? Much appreciated it!!
Hi @Veronica Qu , If you have added the labels in the screen and also to the card layout, it should be visible on the cards in the kanban board.
Only possibility i am suspecting is that you might have added any custom field with similar name instead of issue field 'Labels', double check and see if this is the reason or not.
Let us know and we will investigate more on this issue.
Thanks
Hey Shib, thank you so much for your reply! May I know how can I distinguish the customer field Labels & Issue Field Labels in the setting? It seems that when I tried to search "Labels" under the screen settings, there's only one Labels field shown as below screenshot:

Hi @Veronica Qu , To check the actual field used on the customer request type, follow the below steps and identify the actual field used for the label.
Go to Project setting -> Request Types -> Click on the request type which has label field -> In the Request form tab-> check for label field and see the exact name
same field needs to be added on the card layout too in the board setting and then you will be able to see the labels displayed on the cards in your board.
Hope this is helpful, if not let me know. Thanks

Thank you so much Shib. I have followed your approach to try it and it turns out that this label feature is hidden by our Jira admin so I have to ask them to make it visible to use. Anyway, thank you so much for your answers!!

Hi @Veronica Qu ,
Do you want to add Labels column in the Issue table?
If you can check once,
Go to sidebar, below down there is a option of ISSUES.
After selecting that, There's a option on Main page labled as LIST VIEW AND DETAIL VIEW above the table of Issues.
Click on LIST VIEW, then check the columns in the updated table.
If you're not seeing that column you wanted to see then there's an CONFIGURE COLUMNS options on the table Header. Click on that and configure the Columns you want to see there..
Hope this will help you.

Hi Vibhu, thank you so much for your reply! It seems that our Jira product is different so my Jira backend landing page doesn't look like yours and I can't find the Issues settings like yours in my system. Mine backend setting is like below screenshot:
