Hello,
I am using Insight Asset Management on Jira server.
I'm attempting to create an import configuration from a csv file that is located on my local machine.
Insight only allows me to select a file from Jira server to import from (or use a URL which I do not have) and I'm reading documentation, but I don't quite understand what that means.
Would anyone be able to help explain?
Thanks!
There are two kinds of Imports.
Can you try the solution from the below link and let me know
Thanks,
Pramodh
Thank you for the link! I'm specifically looking for information about creating the import configuration, as described here under the Module fields dropdown: https://confluence.atlassian.com/servicemanagementserver/csv-import-1044784472.html
The documentation is vague, and states to "Choose a file to upload."
When I get to that screen in my Jira instance, it only allows me to select a file from the Jira server.
Selecting a file from the Jira server is the part that I am struggling with understanding!

Hi,
In DC/Server you can either select File and upload the file manually from your computer. The other option is to select URL and point out the file either with http or file protocol. If the file is stored on the Jira server, you can use a path like file:///var/atlassian/application-data/jira/import/insight/importfile.csv
Note that there are 3 slashes after file:
In Insight cloud you can only upload manually from your computer.
