Hi,
I am fairly new to the Jira world, so forgive my ignorance.
- We had Snipe-IT (with asset) linked to JSM and could see and link asset in issues.
- We tried and prefer Insight to track asset instead. Insight has a schema configured and I have a bunch of devices added there. Devices (in Insight) are linked to customers/reporters that are pulled from JSM.
Questions:
- We unlinked Snipe-IT, but in JSM in the asset field, when we search, we continue to see asset added in Snipe-IT, why? and
- How to we connect asset in Insight instead so we can read it in JSM? I have found a Kb article but it references menus and buttons I just dont have in Insight, there fore I am assuming either that article refers to an old version, or a different version.
Appreciate the help,
thanks
Nick
Hi @Nick Dazzi,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
The linked asset field is just a custom field that you configure. To add a new one for Insight, go to Settings > Issues > Custom fields and click create custom fields. Under Advanced you will find Insight objects. Once you have created the field, click on the three-dot menu > Contexts and default value, and from here you can set up what attributes you can search on and see in the request. Here is an example from one of the Insight fields I have:

Thank you, @Mikael Sandberg, for your response. Do we have detailed steps that I can follow to display the In Stock, Consumed, and Remaining fields on any page or screen?

@Deepak Rai You can do that by changing the "Object attributes to display on issue view" under Contexts, as shown in the screenshot above.
