We want to have a project roadmap for the IT team that will allow us to share our IT roadmap, where we are on the roadmap, and have it so anyone in the company to view it. Something similar to this, but for our IT project: https://www.atlassian.com/roadmap/cloud
Is there a solution for Jira Service Desk that supports that? I couldn't find anything native, but maybe there's an add-on that will work?
@Connor Waldo
I hope all is well and welcome to the Atlassian community. Let see if I can help and steer you in the right direction or find a solution for you.
Natively there isn't anything that will be like a public roadmap in link you provided. There is a few options here though.
thank you...but do either of these options allow me to create an "IT timeline"? I looked at the External Share of Jira, but that doesn't seem like it'd allow that.
I'm not sure the Jira Product Discovery would work with Jira Service Desk (which is what our IT project is built on).

@Connor Waldo
Jira product discovery is a different product but if you have licensing it could be set up to create a product like roadmap. Its meant for idea management but I have used it for risk management, IT road mapping, and Internal improvement idea board. If you had a project you can add a link to it from the Help Center. Now that there are external links you can use those or add a link in the description at the Help Center.
Another Idea is you could have a link on the Help Center to an advance roadmap aka Plans showing a timeline view or scenario if you are on Jira software premium.
Have you use Advanced roadmaps before? Here is a link that talks about advanced roadmaps: https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/guides/advanced-roadmaps/overview#what-are-plans-in-advanced-roadmaps
What I would do is create a Software project called called IT Roadmap and template out the different issues that would help create a timeline and link that project to a advanced roadmap. Then use the link share and keep that plan open to all employees so they can view your new roadmap at the help center by the link.
If you are not on premium software you can always use an add-on like big picture or gnatt on the market place.
I hope this helps
Respectfully,
Aaron

For the Advanced Roadmaps. Is there a way we can link that to a based Service Management project? It looks like that's more software based...
