Hi,
JSM-DC: I want to delete some values in the custom field but what will happen on the issue view if that value is used on the issue view?
Thanks in advance
Hi @Saqib Dar
It depends on what you mean "delete values from custom field". If you mean to delete the value from an issue, then what @Pramodh M told you stands. If you kean delete an option from a custom field, then the best practice would be to disable the option, rather than deleting it.

As stated by both @Alex Koxaras _Relational_ and @Pramodh M , when one delete values from custom field, then the issues associated with those values will be lost for good. In the issue view, you will no longer see those fields anymore assuming the field is now NULL.
The best way is to disable the value instead of deleting the value, so when you create issue you will not see the value (disabled) anymore + when you edit issue (if you don't repopulate the field with another value) then your existing value (disabled) will be automatically removed once you save the change.
Hope this helps.

Don't forget to review my supplement information if you follow our recommendation on disabling options route.
Best, Joseph

Nothing happens, may be the custom field will be hidden if the view screen doesn't have that field added in it.
Thanks,
Pramodh
