Just in the last two days we have been getting this problem with tickets saying we cannot close them

Shawn Lamb February 4, 2020

we have been getting this issue on tickets the last two days where we are unable to change the status to closed ( or any status ) I'm set as an admin and site admin etc and should have the permissions to do so , this worked flawlessly for the last 3-4 years until now and none of the 3 people that have admin privileges say they changed anything in this time,

Hi @Shawn Lamb - Check your permission helper for the "Transition Issues" permission.  Based on the menu text that looks like the more likely problem.

Thank you for getting back to me so quick, I took your advice and tried it but it says I have that permission also ( see screen shot ) its doing the same thing to the other services desk users also , and its not just this ticket

The next thing to check is the workflow transition conditions.  It could be that none of the transitions previously available meet their conditions anymore.

Thank you, it was there that I found the issue and was able to close other test tickets but not this one, so I moved the ticket from an incident to a problem then back and was able to close it like normal, Thank you again.
