Ever since I implemented security levels on some of my request types, the automation rule that flips tickets back to Work in Progress from Waiting For Customer when the customer comments has been erroring in some instances. The log shows This user was deleted. It appears that the comment was made via email rather than through the customer portal. How can I resolve the "This user was deleted" error?
Thanks.
I am not able to run as admin. I'd be happy to rewrite the rule in the current automation. Can you advise how to check for user is customer and comment is primary action in the new automation.
Thanks!
Have you gone into the legacy rule and tried to change the run rule as? try setting to an admin.

Thank you for the suggestion. The only options I see are run rule as Project Default and User who triggered the rule. I am currently using Project Default.

If you start a game does it come up? To be honest, I haven’t use legacy Automation for sometime as it’s so limited compared to the newer automation. However I seem to recall that if you start a typing in a name it will give you the option.

Personally I’d recommend creating a new rule in the new automation versus the legacy. Inevitably the legacy Automation I expect will be obsoleted. I’m not where I can really try this out and give you a solution to be honest but it shouldn’t be too difficult. I recommend you go look at the documentation. Go to support.atlassian.net and search for “automation”.

I had a similar problem, but it was that in the drop down to select a different user, none was shown. Took me a while to realise, that writing a few characters forces the dropdown to reload, so the valid users will be displayed.
So, if you have the rights, write a few characters in the extended dropdown, select a valid user, and everything should work fine.
This need to be done, even if you have no rules! (I had deleted them all!)
