New Calendar cannot be reported on in Reports

The new calendar is great but the Planned Start and Planned End Date/Time cannot be used as a series for reports which is annoying as only Creation and Resolution dates can be used which is ineffective for Change reporting. Is it possible to amend the reporting series options to get around this limitation?

When it comes to Service Management reports, currently, it’s not possible to create custom series. 

There is a feature request suggesting improvements for that:

The workaround, for now, is to use gadgets on the dashboards or add-ons:

Thank you for the reply. I am aware of the request to be able to customise the series selection. The Change issue type is a specific use case as Atlassian have released a calendar that requires use of the Planned Start and End Dates but without joining the dots to the fact that system users will need to be able to report on these fields.
