We have been using Jira Service Management JSM for some time for support requests from external customers.
Now we want to open a second project in JSM so that internal employees can also make support requests via JSM.
Problem: The internal project is displayed on the portal page to all users with a customer account (Loggin), provided they log in. This means that external customers can also see the internal project in the portal and could also enter tickets there. This should not be the case!
How can this be prevented or what needs to be set for the internal project so that only internal employees with a login can see this project in the portal?
I look forward to your feedback.
Kind regards
CRB, Daniel Pfeffer
Hello @Daniel Pfeffer!
You will have to set the internal portal to "Restricted" and then add group(s) containing your employees as customers to the portal.
That way it will disappear from externals view.
Here's an article on it: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/limit-jira-service-management-project-visibility-to-customers-on-portal-779160886.html
Hope that helps!
Best, Tobias
Dear @Tobias H
Perfect! Thank you very much for your help.
I was somehow on the right track, but now I have the certainty that it will work.
Best regards,
Daniel
