As far as I've researched, a knowledgebase article is only accessible to be redirected to the appropriate confluence page. Is it possible to get a preview of the article in the issue view of Jira Service Management without being redirected to a particular confluence page?

Just to make sure we are on the same page, I would like to know if you are talking about the articles that appear on “Related articles” on the issue view or the ones that appear in the customer portal view.
In both of the cases, when clicking on the article, the customer or the agent will be redirected to view the article, it’s not possible to configure to view the article from the issue view or open a popup screen showing a preview of the article.
Please, let us know more details so we can raise a feature request suggesting this option.
