Section Break for Jira Service Management

Manish Taneja August 12, 2025

If have 4 fields : A ( dropdown), B(long text), C (dropdown), D (long text)

Need 2 sections:

Section 1: B is visible when Option 2 is selected in A.

Section 2: D is visible when Option "Others" is selected in C.

It is very simple to do so in Freshdesk while looks impossible in JSM as it has sequential execution.

Hello @Manish Taneja ,

You can create a form within your JSM project, where you put the selectable fields A and C. Then you have the part of the form called sections to set conditions depending on the values of fields A and C, and the appearance of fields B and D. If you need help, post a screenshot of the form and I'll help you here.

Hi Pedro,

This will make the form layout non-comprehensive. It will be difficult for user to relate field A and Field B in together if there positions are farther. Think of 10 such field combination. The product needs a change here.

Hello @Manish Taneja ,

Yes, as you mentioned, the combinations can be multiple. If you need to know whether Atlassian has any new features planned for Forms, you’ll need to open a support ticket with them: https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/
