Sent Email to User in a Role

Hey, 

I want to send emails to all the users who are currently in a Role, like Service Desk Agent. is it possible from automation? any smart value?

Hi Muhammad

As of now, we can't send an email to the members of a Project Role.

What I see is commonly used as a workaround is to create a Jira Group with all the users that have the role in it and send the email to the group. This can be done. You could also add the group to the role and not each users. So this way, each time you add someone to the group, he'll also get the role.

That's a nice suggestion, However, Can anyone write the smart value for retrieving user in a role. Like {{projectRoles."Rolename".emailAddress}}
