We just migrated from server to Cloud. Similar Requests is a massive feature we are missing. I do have it enabled in the lab features, however I have one major issue with it. It doesn't search through any ticket that was migrated from server to cloud.
It only pulls up tickets that have been created in cloud new.
Any ideas on this one?
Thanks.
Hi @Max DiOrio
I was not able to find anything related on Atlassian's own issuetracking, jira.atlassian.com - you could double check there but when you say for sure it applies only to issues that were migrated the best bet would be indeed to raise a Support Request with Atlassian through https://support.atlassian.com

Daniel
You may not be aware but the Atlassian Cloud instance will automatically reindex your content. I assume you have either imported via csv or JCMA your issues. If there are a large number of these issues the reindex can take some time to complete as it runs as a background task. How long did the background reindex take on your on-premise instance?
If you do not see a change in your results in a couple of days I would suggest this warrants a support ticket being raised to check on the status of the index. A quick check that you can do is to find a issue that is not returned by a search; edit some content and save. This should cause the ticket to be updated in the index. If this works then you have proven that the issue relates to the index.
Hope this helps

Hi @Phill Fox
We migrated about a month ago now. Tickets are all searchable, including ones that were migrated - I don't think it's an issue with the index.
It's only the Similar Issues Lab App that will not search through our old content. It will only pull up issues created after the migration.

I have no idea why that should happen but maybe a reindex is worth trying in order to fix it. Just in case. Most of the times I've noticed something was missing I found it via a reindex.

My bad then. I've only worked with server so reindexing inmediately came to mind. Best of luck, mate.
