Jira has been recently upgraded from 7.11 to 8.1.0 are we are unable to go to any higher versions than this. Now when trying to do a 'basic' search in 'Search for Issues' and then a field is selected from the 'more' button the following error appears.
"The Jira server could not be contacted. This may be a temporary glitch or the server may be down".
I have tried different browsers / incognito mode etc / cleared browser cache but issue remains
An advanced search for the same criteria is successful.
I would like some help on how to resolve this. I have had a look through the log but cant single anything out that might be causing it.
Hi,
did you check the application log? Any issues in there? Did you try a restart of the Jira server?
Best
