Trying to Automate closing stale tickets. Not working

After doing some research here is the rule I have setup that is not working.

Description:

Daily at 4 AM → check for all tickets in Pending.

Filter → only grab those that haven’t been updated in 2+ days.

Action → transition them straight to Resolved = Done.

Settings. In the screenshots1.png2.png3.png

Hi @Dan Langenberg,

Currently there aren't any work items that meet your conditions (when you validated your query, 0 work items were found)

And you can remove the checkbox under the JQL query:

If any off your items was moved to Pending yesterday, today it isn't filtered. If it isn't updated today and tomorrow, it will be filtered tomorrow but it will be skipped because it wasn't changed after the last run of your rule (that was today).

Ah, that might fix it. Now I have to wait 2 days to see. Thanks for the tip

Hi @Dan Langenberg

You do not necessarily need to wait 2 days if there are work items to process.  The rule runs daily so you can check tomorrow...or, for a Scheduled Trigger rule, you may select to run the rule now from the editor and it will process anything meeting your criteria.

Kind regards,
Bill
