Hello,
when I change the status of an issue there is a screen for it that loads.
At the end of the screen there is a comment field.
For the comment you can choose, if it should not be seen by customer (internal comment) or if customer should see it (public comment, answer customer).
There was never a problem, but since a few days the default setting is "internal comment".
But we always use this to answer customer so I need the default setting as "public comment, answer customer".
Does anybody know where to configure the default value für public/intern of the comment field in the screen for status change?
Best Regards,
Danie
Hello @dahu
There is an option to change between internal comment or reply to customer as default.
You need to be Jira administrator to adjust this.
Click on the settings icon on the top right (⚙️)
Click on “Products”
Click on “Configuration” under the “Jira Service Management” section
Update the toggle under the section called “Default comment behavior”
Select “Default comments to Reply to customer” to change the behaviour to have transition screens default to external comments
Hello @Nikola Perisic ,

Best Regards,
Daniel
