Greetings. I created a component under my IT Service Desk called Hardware for all those requests. I created a component lead and the default assignee is the same person.
I then created an issue. It shows the default assignee correctly and then... nothing. I have to create a rule to let the assignee know that there is an issue for them. And so if I have to do that, what's the purpose of assigning a component lead and assignee if it doesn't do any notifications? is it the assumption that people will proactively look at their issues and notifications are a nice-to-have? Puzzled.
this should not be the case if you have Notifications (project settings) set to notify Assignee.
