i got a request to evaluate the effort to connect Jira ticket system with Omnitracker:
goal is to create an asynchron interface between both systems
from omnitracker point of view there are tons of interfaces to do connect to whatever
do someone have any suggestion in this direction?
how to start? ... a similar project maybe done in the past ?...
any hints welcome
thanks in advance
Welcome to the community. I would recommend you to contact Omintracker vendor and ask them for assistance for JSM integration.
Hope this helps.

nice answer but i am pretty sure that if i raise a request by Omnitracker i will geht a similar answer from them that i should get in contact with JSM specialists :-(

Normally, vendor (Omnitracker) should provide the necessary documentation on how to integrate with Jira Software/JSM. After you obtain their feedback, then you can work with your JSM admins to determine the next steps on setting up integration process accordingly.
Contacting Omnitracker vendor will be the 1st step.
Best, Joseph

Hi Michael, did you manage to get this working and if so, what solution have you chosen?

Hi Stephane
we didn´t finished yet but found two solutions.
one simple Solution (with existing tools in jira and omnitracker) is to use an email address on both sides for notification in both directions:
another solution is, i have found a company which is specialized in this field.
I can send you a PM message from this company if you want, because I don't know if it is allowed to share such information here on the board.

Hi Michael,
Thank you for your message. I think it is OK to share information about companies specialised in this. My account is new now, but I have been on the Atlassian platform for more than 5 years already and I have seen people sharing information like this. I know Exalate has good integration options for example, but I am not sure you have been using their products?

Hi Michael,
i was in contact with the company Orchestra BUT to be honest during other urgent topics we didn´t finished this proposal.
but i think the idea behind should work to connect both ticketsystems with that tool

Hey Michael, there are standard software solutions for that challenge on the market. I suspect that if I get more specific it will be considered unauthorized advertising by the admins. But just search for my name + Munich ... Then you come quite quickly on it. Greetings, Malte Klassen
