I guess there must be a workflow property which restricts editing in the closed status.
You can remove the property and you will be able to edit the issue. But it all depends on your requirements:
1. You could remove the property.
2. You could let only a certain group to edit the issue. You would need to set the workflow property like this:
jira.permission.edit.group.1=some-group-one

I was able to permitted edit by setting the jira.permission.worklogeditown property to true.
