how to use an existing insight field for another project

hi and sorry if the question is so simple for you but I'm new to Insight :

I have couple of insight fields in Project A

I have created project B .and want to use the same insight fields in Project B.

 I added the field in the screen (same way as other custom fields of Jira ) and under configuration , I added new the new project and also new insight schema

but still there is no value in the field . it shows empty. what did I miss ?

From the description:

• You have an Asset custom field
• You are able to add the Asset custom field in the Project A screen
• You are able to search for the Asset value when creating an issue in Project A
• You are able to add the Asset custom field in the Project B screen
• You are UNABLE to search for the Asset value when creating an issue in Project B

Let me know if I understand the issue correctly.

To further investigate, can you please share the following screenshots:

• How do you create an issue in Project A and search for the Asset in the Asset custom field
• How do you create an issue in Project B and search for the Asset in the Asset custom field
• The Asset custom field configuration page

Hi @NEGAR JALALIAN 

All the configurations seem correct and I assume that you have configured the New TOC's Platform objects as well.

1. Click Asset -> Search for object
2. Select New TOC object schema
3. Type the following AQL
   1. objectType = "Platform"
4. The result should not be empty

The next step is to check if the New TOC configuration:

1. Click on Asset -> Object Schema
2. Click the Gear icon next to the New TOC object schema
3. Click Configure
4. I would suggest you compare the Object Schema configuration in New TOC with the Allente TOC Object Schema and make sure they have the same configuration
5. Make necessary changes in the New TOC configuration and try to create an issue in project B again

here is the problem , in my "New Toc Object schema" I see all Object types bcause I copied from project A but there is no object there .

none of the objects were copied .

that means I manually need to add objects from other Insight Schema ?

Did you follow the following KB articles when exporting/importing Object Schema?

Importing and exporting object schemas

Importing Asset object types with attributes referencing existing objects

According to the first article, it is possible to import objects that belong to the schema.

I just don't know why it didn't work for me with export and import . 

in Export I did this : 

but when I go to import , I can't find the name of the file I saved

@Marini Marini  finally I found how to export and import .. my expectation was too high and thought I can do all at once but I had to do export and import per object type 

now I got another issue . these object types are linked in old Object schema 

I updated attibutes but still the linking is not there .

any more step I have to take ?
