user selection is not working fine in customer portal for some users

Dears,

Iam using single user selection in some requests and from the customer portal for some users not all users is no working fine and it become like text entry not user selection 

the stange thing that it is for some users not all users !!!

is there any idea

A single user field is always a single user field. It can't be a text. I believe what you want to say is that for certain users a dropdown for picking a user appear, but for other users this dropdown will not appear and he/she has to start typing a few letter in order to get possible results. Correct?

50% Correct as eve they stat typing few letters it didn't show the possible letter

Are any of these "users" simple customers of the JSM project? And the others are agents?

I got it, yes for simple user they cann't but for JSM agent they can 

How can I allow simple users to be able to select from dropdown
