Redirect to outside URL when clicking a certain request Type

We are moving a certain request type to another system. We would still like users to be able to use Jira to get redirected there in case they go through the existing process.

Has anyone found a way to trigger a redirect to an outside URL when the request Type is selected?

Select request type and forward to url.
Is this not possible in JSM Cloud?

I don't think Jira/JSM has the functionality for the page to redirect, I think the best you can do is present a message with the link to the external resource, this is for when customers select the request type in the portal right?

With your question: Moving a certain request type to another system means that you are creating a new project within or completely to new one?

Could you please confirm what you are trying to do so that I can share what I did when we created a new project and redirected users to new one in case they went to old one?
