Someone added by mistakes team members as customers without organization. I don't have any options to delete them. How do I remove customers without organizations?
Hi Pazit,
I had the same issue, but I manage to solve it by adding the user temporarily to an organization and after that delete them.

No, they aren't displayed in the Portal only customers section. But your response led me to the solution. We added them as people to the Jira Service Desk but didn't give them Product access. I gave them product access and the users disappeared from the customer list.
Thanks everyone, for helping

thanks for updating us Pazit. Certainly makes sense. I will say I think that customers/organizations/people in JSD is messy and needs to be revamped. hopefully that will happen in time.

@Pazit what role did you give your team when adding them as People to the Jira Service Desk?
Also were did you gave them product access?...from the User Management on Jira Settings?
Thanks for the lead.

Do these individuals have site access and are you simply wanting to remove from the one project? If you have the “anyone” permission selected under customer permissions that might explain it. If so you could change to customers my team adds. If you want to remove the user altogether then you can do that from Jira settings > user management.

Hi Jack,
In terms of permissions, I set 'Customers my team adds to the project'.
These people are 'Service Desk Team' and not customers. Don't want to remove them from the project, but yes from the Customers list (as they aren't customers).
Thanks
Pazit

Ok. And they do or do not appear under People? If they do, what roles are they defined in?

They do appear under people as 'Service Desk Team'. Removing them from People denies them access to the project and adding them brings them back to the customer page.

Hi Pazit,
I am not from the Jira Service Desk Team, but I will try to help.
Looking at the in-product documentation it says the following.
How you remove customers from a project depends on how the customer was added to the project.
So in your case I think the first bullet point applies. If you go to your Project -> Settings -> People. If you can't see the settings icon then you may not be a Project Admin, so you'll need to find a Project Admin to help you.
I hope that helps!

Hi Martyn,
Thank you for your reply.
The problem is these people are part of the team but not customers. Removing them from People denies them access to the project and adding them brings them back to the customer page. Other team members who were directly being added from the People page aren't in the Customers list.
Thanks
Pazit

Hello,
now we have customers listed in the "Customers" section after removing them from an organisation but yet they are not listed under "People" in the ServiceManagement Project settings and they are not listed under "Users" in the general Atlassian User Administration. Yet I can see them all listed there with no option of removal.
Edit and solution:
If this wasnt enough, you can go to "Products" than on the Top "Product Access" than you go to sites and products (your site) and in the section Jira Service Management you can find "Portal-only Customers".
Great User Experience ;)
