The business is combining a number of AD's and merging into a single AD, which means duplicated accounts.

Possible to change the Assignee and Reporter etc, Can the author of the users comments be changed from the user old account to the users new account?

Dear @David Harkins ,

as long as while merging different user directories, the usernames stay same, you do not have to migrate anything.

You can test yourself. Create a new user in one AD. Create some issues with this user. Delete the user from AD. Now create the user in internal user directory (or another AD) with exactly the same username. You will see, that you can somehow 'hitchhike' the deleted account.

the usernames are NOT staying the same and for sometime user accounts will exist in multiple AD's until a switch over has been full completed.
