I want to send an email to issue assignee using automation. I'm looking for any documentation that would help, but most of them are using cloud. I'm looking how to get an assignee email from issue.
Here is my last automation
I tried it on DC and the smart value {{issue.assignee.emailAddress}} works.
Is you outgoing email off, if not. Then I would see your server logs on what is happening.

Are there any rules on your mailbox or due the mails end up in spam.
Another issue could also be the case that your email address has ended up on a "blacklist" at Atlassian.
This means Atlassian blocks all emails towards your address.
There have been multiple topics on the community about this, but this can't be solved without Atlassian's help.
You would need to raise a support issue at Atlassian to see if this is the case.

I already using that smart value before. But i didn't receive any email.
Note: I assign the issue to my self

Hi @inayanabilaa ,
I found this a document here for Data Center and Server:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/automation/jira-smart-values-issues-993924860.html
I hope this is the right document you're looking for. Also try using {{issue.assignee.emailAddress}}
Sincerely,
Khang
