We are migrating to JSM from OpsGenie and are nearly complete. The only outstanding question I still have is how to get a Slack alert triggered from a JSM sync. We have a sync that triggers JSM alerts when certain rules are satisfied by Jira tickets on a specific Jira board. In OpsGenie we had the alerts sent to OpsGenie but we also sent alerts to a specific Slack channel. We would like to recreate that functionality with JSM.
Hi @Patrick Bradley ,
You mentioned the sync creating an alert, I believe that would be the trigger for a Slack message. In your Operations Team left navigation menu go to Automations and you can create a rule that triggers when an alert is created and then add an IF condition to identify the alerts you want to send a Slack message for then use a send slack message action.
Hi @Christopher Yen ,
Thanks for you reply! I am an admin and when I look at the left nav menu, I do not see an item labeled "automations." Do you have an idea why that might be the case?
Thanks!

Hey @Patrick Bradley ,
Yes it does seem to be missing, it's usually under integrations. Can you go to "Member roles" at the bottom of that menu and make sure you're an admin within that operations team as well?

It looks like I have an admin within that operations team? I have the global role. Also, a side note, I got to this role list by clicking the "Role Assignment" option in the left nav menu. You can see all of this in the attached screenshot. Thanks!

I'm a little stumped.. not sure why it's not there.
But just to double check under your team itself where it says member roles you have admin here as well?

Yes, just checked there, I'm listed as an admin in the team member roles. I wonder if there could be some other global settings on our companies JSM operations?
