Subtasks for Requests

Hennie Bink March 4, 2025

Hi all,

I have a service project with a few request types.

I like to create also stories and subtasks in this sevice project. But I can only add request types and no issues.

1) How can I add subtasks to a request? or

2) How can I add issues to a service project besides requests?

Hi Hennie,

1) You should have a button in the requests themselves at the top under the summary that says "Create Subtask."

2) In the project settings, under Request Management, there is an option for Issue Types. At the top right there is an Action button, select Edit Issue Types. On the next screen you may add additional issue types to the project.

Hi Ryan,

Thanks for your respons!

1) We don't have the button "Create Subtask" in our Request. We have that button only in Software Projects in issue type "Story". We like to know how we can get this button on other request types and issue types.

2) We don't have "Issue Type" under Request Management. We have "Request Types". Under "Request Types" we make a Request type "Story". But we can't add Subtasks to it.

Maybe we have to create a Request type "Subtask" first. But then, how do we specify that this Request type is a subtask of Request type "Story"?
