Unable to install ProForma?

Hi Community!

Today I wanted to install ProForma on a JSM Cloud instance.

I know Thinktilt has been acquired by Atlassian and I noticed the "Please note: the cloud version of this app will be discontinued on October 28, 2021." banner on the Marketplace.

I do see app being listed on "find new apps" but when opening it it loads endlessly.

On the Jira Cloud roadmap there is no status next to the Q4 label like other features have:

Anyone knows what's going on here? Is it impossible to install ProForma on a Cloud instance until Atlassian incorporates this in Jira?

you can no longer install on Cloud. Proforma is coming to cloud built in. I’m not sure of the timeline but understand very soon. Please see this reference - https://www.atlassian.com/licensing/proforma

Thanks for confirming Jack.

Quite annoying that this app has been removed from the Marketplace for more than a month already.

I wanted to prepare a customer demo for Proforma, they will have to wait :-)

@Charlie Misonne

Forms (aka ProForma) will be rolling out for Free to all Cloud instances.

See:  https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/blog/2021/12/atlassian-cloud-changes-dec-20-to-dec-27-2021

Forms: Get the information you need, when you need it

ROLLING OUT

Forms use conditional logic to dynamically show or hide fields, and can include headings, tables, and rich formatting. Use forms in your portal to gather information when a request is raised, or
add forms to existing issues to gather new information as it’s needed.

We're rolling out forms slowly, so keep an eye out under Project settings (or Service project settings in team-managed projects) for Forms in the navigation on the left.

Learn more about forms in Jira Service Management.

Hi Tanya,

I've been waiting more than 2 months for the ProForma functionality in the meantime. I'm thinking about moving to a third party solution because we really need some of the form features.

Can you tell us how much longer we need to wait? On the cloud roadmap page it sill says Q4 2021. Perhaps this should be changed.

Hi @Charlie Misonne - I believe it should be fully available as of a few days ago.  In just verified in my personal instance that it's there.  In a Jira Service Management project go to Project Settings > Forms

Refer to this page for FAQs: https://www.atlassian.com/licensing/proforma

Hi Tanya,

Indeed! I do see the forms now. Perhaps I was not sure where to look this morning.

Thanks!

Hi @Charlie Misonne

Until that time you can try the third-party app Forms for Jira (developed by my SaaSJet team). Using this add-on you can create and add forms to issues from Jira Cloud.  Is that what you need?

Hi Zoryana,

Thanks for your suggestion. I'm already used to ProForma so I think I'll just wait for it to be released on our Cloud instance.
