Unable to view the attachment in customer portal

Hello ,

 

We have added the attachment through the jira normal view(without customer portal) and the attachment is not visible in customer poral.

 

When i added the attachment through the customer portal it shows

"!image.png|thumbnail!" but the attachment is not visible

Hi Thangavel,

Thanks so much for your question.

There are a few situations where the attachments may not appear in the Customer Portal.

  • Attachments added in the Issue View as an Internal comment would not show on the Customer Portal
  • Service desk Customers would see the attachment file name in the Customer Portal if they do not have permissions to Create attachments in the Customer Portal

To check attachment permissions:

  1. Go to Project Settings | Permissions | Attachments permissions | Create attachments | Granted To
  2. Check the permissions include Service Desk Customer - Portal Access
  3. Click Actions at the top, scroll back down to Create attachments, and Edit to include the group to have permissions
