Hi Community,
I would like to make my JSM a one-stop-shop for self-service and achieve as much automation as I can.
I am looking into allowing people to request a new Microsoft Teams group via JSM.
My idea is to then transmit the "relevant fields" (such as name of the Teams Group) and Members (?) to PowerAutomate, so it creates the Teams group with the informationen provided in the custom Jira (SM) fields.
Has anyone done this in the past or has an idea from what angle to approach this? I have seen the PowerAutomate Jira Conenctor, but it only seems to work in the direction PowerAutomate -> JIRA and not the other way around.
Same question for adding or requesting to add people to a Teams group which are not yet part of our Azure AD guests - anybody been tapping into that functionality too?
Thanks and best
Ronny
Hi,
I have not done exactly this, but sounds like you can have a field which contains the Teams group and use Jira Automation to send a webhook to kick off Power Automate.
There is no easy way to pass the identity though.. you may have to use some service accounts.
Cheers
