We lost the tab view on editing issues (modal window) after adding a new request type

Using Server version of Jira Service Management in our own cloud environment.

We have issues with tabs in Screen setup, and in viewing issues, we get a tab when data is entered for any field of that tab (typically custom).

Up until yesterday, when we edited an issue the modal window would be tabbed.

Yesterday I added a couple of Requests with their own request type using the same issue type of existing requests.

Now, editing issues does not have tabs and I only found an Atlassian that said go to the request type and go to issue view and Issue view does not exist in any Request Type.

Hi @Marc Isikoff

Are you able to share some more insight, screen shots on the configuration etc..

Marc, I cannot share screenshots due to company policy but can elaborate.

Ahem, searching for help on edit lost tabs usually goes to view lost tabs and that is not the case. We can view any issue and if there is custom field data on a tab, the tab will show.

We have screens for our issuetype for create, edit, and view, which all have the same 6 tabs.

Now we were asked to create additional request types based on the same issue type we have and that is where 'edit' issues has lost it's tabs. Might be because on the new requests we don't ask for data from the other 5 tabs. But that shouldn't matter since at any point, editing an issue you could add data, save, and edit again, but not see tabs.

Again, I want to say that 'viewing' an issue presents tabs as prescribed; edit is the only one that lost tabs.
